1. No transport vehicle necessary.
In relatively rare home-hospice situations, procedures may be performed on-site without taking valuable time to transport the patient to another location. Under these circumstances the ice bath requires relatively tall legs to raise it to a suitable height for performing procedures on the patient.
2. Non-SA transport vehicle.
If team members are at a remote location beyond the range of an SA vehicle, they may use a rented van, SUV, or mortuary pickup service for patient transport. In such a situation headroom may be limited, making tall legs unusable.
3. SA transport vehicle.
Although the SA vehicles use the non-collapsible ice baths requiring no assembly, the collapsible ice bath should be compatible for use in the transport vehicles, if necessary.
With these requirements in mind, our collapsible, portable ice bath has its own set of casters for situations where headroom restrictions apply, and a separate set of tall, folding legs for situations where they can be used.
